A Currant Affair
vodka - creme de cassis - prosecco
3 parts vodka
1 part creme de cassis
1 part prosecco (or other dry sparkling wine)
black currants or blackberry for garnish
shake vodka and creme de cassis with ice until frosty
strain into martini glass
top off with prosecco
garnish with berries
notes:
This cocktail happened when I couldn’t decide between a kir royale and a vodka martini. If you feel like riffing on this, I think elderflower or any other cordial used in champagne cocktails would work as well.
