The Cooter Slam

bourbon - peach - amaretto - lime

• 1 part bourbon

• 2 parts peach juice

• 1 part amaretto

• lime juice (squeeze a quarter of a lime)

• splash of grenadine

• candied violet for garnish (very optional, but here’s how)

• crushed ice

stir together bourbon, peach juice, lime juice, and amaretto in shaker or pitcher

pour over crushed ice

splash on some grenadine

garnish with violets

For reasons that escape me now, I named this after an acrobatic dance move from RuPaul’s Drag Race. Anyway, like any good drag performance, this cocktail is just a little bit too much.

Stone fruits and almond always complement each other, and the lime juice helps brighten all the flavors, but the grenadine and candied violets are just here for show. And they are violets the house down mama yes gawd.
