campari - orange

  • 1 part campari

  • 3 parts freshly squeezed orange juice

put two large ice cubes in a high ball glass

pour over campari, then orange juice

stir gently

note:

This is a really classic two ingredient aperitif, but when it’s made with commercial orange juice it can be overly sweet and acidic. Fresh squeezed juice is the only way to go. It lets the more subtle bitter and herbal flavors of the campari come out without being overpowered by the juice.
