Piña Colada in a Piña

rum - pineapple - coconut

cut the top off your pineapple

run a knife around the inside of the pineapple, about 1-2 cm from the edge

take care not to cut too deeply lest you make a hole in the bottom

cut an X across the inside core, dividing it into 4 sections

slowly cut chunks out of the middle working your way down to the bottom

cut a niche in the pineapple top to make room for the straw

insert straw

insert piña colada

The Serious Eats piña colada recipe is the absolute best. I’ve tried a lot of them and always come back to this one. It’s a bit time consuming but worth it if you’re going to make the ultimate tropical cocktail.
