The Root Strap

root beer - black rum

• 1 part black strap rum

• 3 parts root bear

• 2 scoops of ice cream

put two scoops of ice cream in a high ball glass

pour rum over ice cream

gently pour in root beer so you get a nice head without spilling over

serve with straw and spoon

When the dog days arrive, and ice cubes just won't cut it, you've got to make yourself a root beer float. But this time with an extraordinarily generous pour of black strap rum. Yum. Rum.
